Youth Dialogue Session Commences at City's Jobcentre for Young Individuals, Starting 16th of January
The Solingen local job center has announced an expansion of its services for young people aged 15 to 25. Starting from January 16th, the U 25-Team and Team Jugend will be offering their services more centrally at the MITTEndrin community office, located on Hauptstraße 56.
U 25-Team, a part of the local job center, provides individual guidance, advice, and assistance in education, training, and employment matters. They are available every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to support young people and young adults in their career start and integration into the labor market.
Similarly, Team Jugend offers a service for the same age group to discuss various issues in a factual and solution-oriented manner. Topics covered include school issues, training, studies, stress, substance abuse, personal finances, unemployment benefits, and crisis situations. The service provided by Team Jugend will continue to be available, alongside the new centralised location, starting from January 16th.
In addition to these services, a career counselor from the Solingen employment agency will be present twice a month at the MITTEndrin community office. This career counselor offers orientation talks to all interested youth, providing expert advice on career planning, vocational training opportunities, and job placement support.
