In the heart of Yakutsk, the cultural capital of Siberia, the city is abuzz with creativity as the Summer Art Festival begins its run in the Culture and Recreation Park on August 2, 2023.

One of the highlights of the festival is the street art workshop at the youth center "Patriot". Led by Veronica Vologzhaninova, artists will gather to paint the "Wall of Creativity" using graffiti and mural art techniques. This workshop is scheduled for August 9.

Prior to this, on August 6 to 29, a group of artists will be working on an art installation on the facade of School No. 30. The installation will be inaugurated on August 30, marking the culmination of the artists' efforts. It is important to note that this installation is part of the summer art festival.

Kynnei Ivanova, a renowned artist, held a workshop on contemporary eco-art at the festival. Using recycled materials, participants created 3D art objects, including collages of Yakutian horses using colored paper made from recycled receipts.

Other workshops included watercolor painting taught by Uruydaana Vasilyeva, who demonstrated how to mix colors and combine watercolors with other materials on greeting cards. Aitalina Borisova taught the quick drawing technique - sketching - to festival guests.

The art installations and workshops are not limited to the artists mentioned above. The festival offers a variety of lectures and workshops on various art techniques, providing a platform for artists and enthusiasts alike to share, learn, and create.

For those interested in the festival, local event listings, the official Yakutsk city or cultural institution websites, social media pages of the event organizers, or local news in Yakutia are excellent resources for more detailed information.

As the festival continues, Yakutsk's streets and public spaces transform into a vibrant canvas, showcasing the city's rich artistic talent and fostering a sense of community and creativity.

Education and self-development opportunities abound at the Summer Art Festival in Yakutsk. Apart from the street art workshop at "Patriot" and the contemporary eco-art workshop by Kynnei Ivanova, there are workshops on watercolor painting, quick drawing technique, and various art techniques, catering to both artists and enthusiasts alike.
