Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 Engages One Crore Students Nationwide
The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, a nationwide hackathon for students, is set to engage over one crore students from 2.5 lakh schools across India. Focusing on themes like Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, and Vocal for Local, the event aims to foster innovation and inclusivity.
The hackathon, targeting students from classes 6 to 12, will take place on October 13, with entries to be submitted by October 31, 2025. The registration deadline has been extended to October 11. It places a special focus on Aspirational Districts, Tribal, and Remote Regions to ensure all students have the chance to participate.
The Buildathon revolves around four key themes: Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharat. Each participating team will receive mentorship from experts across various fields. Institutions like corporate partners, NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Education, and the Atal Innovation Mission will provide mentorship, corporate partnerships, and long-term incubation support. The Ministry has announced an Awards Pool worth Rs 1 crore to encourage participation. Top-performing teams will receive long-term mentorship, corporate support, and resources to further develop their projects.
