Sustainability Action: University of Kassel Unveils Groundbreaking Study Programs
🌎 Make Your Mark: If you're convinced that green living, social equity, and a prosperous economy are the key to the future, you'll find an exciting lineup of innovative study programs at the University of Kassel starting in winter — a unique arrangement in Germany. Clement also notes, "Research shows that less than half of people still see themselves as responsible for taking action on climate change for future generations. The University of Kassel is committed to fostering greater sustainability now. We aim to engage passionately on this front."
The groundwork for the programs was established over three years, involving the recruitment of numerous professors to bring their perspectives and content to the educational experience. A marketing team is amplifying the launch with a nationwide campaign to increase awareness throughout Germany.
Vice-President Prof. Dr. René Matzdorf, responsible for studies and teaching, is equally optimistic, remarking, "What we've accomplished here is unprecedented in Germany. For Kassel, this is a major selling point. We're offering young people an incredible opportunity to create a sustainable future in their professions with specialized knowledge."
Application periods have begun — like most subjects — on June 1st. The application window for the Bachelor in Sustainable Electrical Systems and the Master in Sustainable Electromobility starts in July. All subjects carry admission, boasting a no-NC status.
