University of Asia Pacific Holds 11th Convocation Ceremony
The University of Asia Pacific (UAP) celebrated the achievements of its graduating students at the 11th Convocation Ceremony held on 26 July 2025, at Senaprangon, Dhaka Cantonment. A total of 1,975 students received their degrees, including 1,273 undergraduate and 702 postgraduate students.
The event began with a welcome speech delivered by Professor Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Adviser to the Vice Chancellor. He welcomed the guests and congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments.
Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder, the Chief Guest, conferred degrees on behalf of the Chancellor. He encouraged the graduates to contribute to national development and uphold the values of excellence and integrity instilled by UAP.
The Special Guest at the ceremony was Professor Dr S M A Faiz.
Three graduates were awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medals for outstanding academic performance, while 18 received the Vice-Chancellor's Gold Medals.
Engineer Enayetur Rahman, CEO & President of @ulkasemi, served as the Convocation Speaker. He commended UAP for fostering ethical and visionary leadership and urged graduates to pursue their goals with determination and resilience.
Architect Mahbuba Haque, Chairperson of UAP's Board of Trustees, echoed these sentiments, urging students to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavours.
Brigadier General (Retd) Professor Dr A K M Nazrul Islam served as the Marshal of the convocation.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Qumrul Ahsan emphasized the university's expanding academic collaborations both locally and internationally. He particularly highlighted the institution's partnerships with Malaysia, which were praised by Former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad in a special video message.
The ceremony concluded with Engineer Mohammad Enayetur Rahman delivering the Convocation Speech, where he inspired the graduates to make a positive impact in society.
