University art students near the end of their senior year at Park University will display their works in a pair of upcoming exhibitions.

Get ready for a visual feast as Park University's Campanella Gallery prepares to host two captivating art exhibits this May and June. The exhibits, showcasing the works of talented artists, will run from May 5 to June 6 for the first exhibit and from June 16 to July 18 for the second.

The first exhibit, opening on May 5, will feature the colourful and intricate works of Lucie Garrett, Rhiannon Lewis, and Danielle Smith. Lucie Garrett's mixed media art combines ceramics, sculpture, and fiber to delve into the realm of maximalism. Rhiannon Lewis, inspired by coy fish, creates bright and vibrant works using fiber, ceramics, and various mediums. Danielle Smith, focusing on fashion and textiles, brings a unique perspective to the exhibition.

The second exhibit, starting on June 16, will showcase the works of Sofia McCroskie, Cameron McMeekin, and Cheri Regis. Sofia McCroskie, a multimedia artist, and Cameron McMeekin, a senior fine art major from Springfield, Missouri, who examines themes of nature through photography, add a diverse range of styles to the exhibit. Cheri Regis, a painter, doll-maker, and multidisciplinary artist, brings her unique creations to the gallery.

Both exhibits will be open to the public, and receptions for the artists will be held. On Friday, May 9, from 4 to 6 p.m., a reception will be held for the artists of the second exhibit. A reception for the artists of the first exhibit will be held on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Campanella Gallery's hours for the second exhibit are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, closed. The building will also be closed on May 26 for the Memorial Day holiday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday, and July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.
