UMA & RGB Racing Launch Bootcamp Empowering India's Motorsport Engineers

The United Motorsports Academy (UMA), in collaboration with RGB Racing Team, has launched its 18-day bootcamp in Spain. Aimed at empowering India's next generation of motorsport engineers, the programme kicked off on August 19, 2025, with 30 selected participants from diverse academic backgrounds and cities across India and abroad.

The bootcamp, covering vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, race strategy, and telemetry, is designed to prepare these young engineers for global opportunities. The final 30 participants were chosen through a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process, involving questionnaires, video statements, and one-on-one interviews.

The participants, aged between 17 and 35 years, predominantly study Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. They will be mentored by Le Mans-winning professionals and experts currently working with F1 teams. The bootcamp will culminate in an evaluation to identify the top 5 performers, who will secure exclusive global internships with RGB Racing Team.

The India Motorsport Products Market is projected to reach USD 6.7 billion by 2035, with the global motorsport industry forecasted to grow at a healthy 8.1% CAGR between 2025-2034. This bootcamp is a significant step towards harnessing this growth and nurturing Indian talent.

With the participants now in Spain, the UMA Bootcamp 2025 is set to provide these young engineers with invaluable insights and hands-on experience. The programme's focus on empowering India's motorsport engineering talent aligns with the growing potential of the motorsport industry in the country and globally.
