Ulan-Ude's Libraries Transform into Vibrant Cultural Hubs for Children
Ulan-Ude's public libraries are transforming into vibrant cultural hubs, particularly for children. In 2026, two libraries will undergo modernization, funded by a subsidy from the Russian Ministry of Culture.
Library Branch No. 3 in the Zagogorsk microdistrict will receive a futuristic makeover, inspired by airport design. The 8 million ruble renovation will be funded by federal and regional budgets.
Library Branch No. 17, named after A. Gaidar, will become the city's first children's cultural and educational center, 'In the Library'. This transformation aims to make libraries more appealing and interactive for young residents.
The modernization of these libraries is set to enhance Ulan-Ude's cultural landscape, offering children and residents alike engaging and innovative spaces. The project is made possible by a subsidy from the Russian Ministry of Culture.
