UGAU Delegation Boosts Educational Cooperation in Kyrgyzstan

A delegation from Ural State Agrarian University (UGAU) recently visited Kyrgyzstan to foster educational and scientific cooperation. Led by Vice-Rector Olga Neverova, the team presented programs and discussed joint initiatives with local institutions, including Professional Lyceum No. 102. The visit, which took place in September 2021, saw the UGAU delegation travel to four cities: Bishkek, Tokmok, Balykchi, and Karakol. Their presentation at the 10th International Exhibition of Eurasian Education generated significant interest, with over 8,000 high school students in Kyrgyzstan showing keen interest in UGAU's programs. The dialogue centered around the shortage of agricultural specialists and resulted in agreements for experience exchange, internships, and joint educational programs. Neverova emphasized UGAU's aim to create a comprehensive ecosystem of agricultural education, benefiting both Russia and Kyrgyzstan's agro-industrial complexes. UGAU representatives also participated in a roundtable discussion at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, Zhanybek Kerimaliev, and other Russian university representatives. Special attention was given to collaboration between Russian universities and local colleges and technical schools in Kyrgyzstan. UGAU has committed to supporting Professional Lyceum No. 102 in training highly qualified specialists in plant growing, animal husbandry, and agricultural product processing. Through these cooperative efforts, UGAU seeks to strengthen ties between Russian and Kyrgyzstani educational institutions, ultimately contributing to the development of the agro-industrial complex in both countries.
