Splash into Summer: Free Swimming Lessons for Kids!

Transforming Pools into Lessons: Swimming Instruction Migrating to Aquatic Education Spaces

Summer's here, and it's time for a refreshing splash! Tired of seeing children struggle in the water? We've got some exciting news that'll make a big splash. Desjoyaux Pool-School is rolling out free swimming lessons for kids across Germany, and Wiesbaden's Idea Garden is joining the party.

What's the deal?

One in three kiddos in Germany can't swim safely after finishing elementary school, and drowning remains a tragic reality. To turn the tide, Desjoyaux, known for manufacturing fancy pools, is launching an initiative with impact. Called Desjoyaux Pool-School, the program offers free swimming lessons in real-life garden pools at no cost to kids—because every child deserves to swim, no matter their income or location.

How does it work?

Desjoyaux Pool-School is rolling out its second round this summer. The plan? Take existing show pools and transform them into learning sites. Skilled swimming instructors guide little swimmers from splashing to mastering the Seahorse badge—safely and playfully. Our goal? A swimmable Germany!

Wiesbaden's Idea Garden dives in!

Gramenz Garden and Landscape Construction is joining the cause. Last year, their Idea Garden was a huge success, and they're doing it again this year, from July 28 to August 8, 2025. Interested parties should expect certified trainers, maybe even some famous faces like swimming icon Franziska van Almsick and triathlon ace Jan Frodeno. So, Wiesbaden, are you ready to jump in?

Don't miss out—register now!

Parents, don't let this fabulous opportunity slip through your fingers. Parents can still register their little swimmers for the free event until June 17, 2025. For more information, visit the Desjoyaux website, and get ready to make a splash!

Fancy a swim for adults too?

If you want to join in but you're not a kid, never fear! From June 22, you can book swimming courses at the Kleinfeldchen and Mainzer Straße outdoor and indoor pools. It's never too late to learn how to swim!
