In the heart of the Baikalovsky district, a significant event has taken place - the opening of a modern educational platform, the driving town, at School No. 1 in Baikalovo. This innovative facility is designed to provide a safe and modern infrastructure for students to learn the basics of traffic rules.

The project, aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving children, has been made possible through the combined efforts of the Ministry of Education of the region, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region led by Governor Denis Pavlovich Pasler, and the Baikalovsky district.

Alexei Dorozhkin, head of the Baikalovsky district, noted that the driving town offers an engaging way for children to learn traffic rules through practical application. He emphasised that theory, backed by practice, is the key to the safety of the children in the Baikalovsky district.

The driving town is equipped with working traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, speed humps, a complex of traffic signs, and all necessary road markings. This practical teaching equipment is unique in the Urals region of Sverdlovsk, as no schools outside the Baikalovsky district currently have similar facilities.

In addition to school lessons, students from the other ten schools in the Baikalovsky district can come to School No. 1 in Baikalovo to learn about studying traffic rules. The district is working systematically to implement similar projects, with funds for equipping driving towns allocated to several other schools this year.

The Baikalovsky district has been prize-winners several times in these regional competitions for young traffic inspectors. The project cost approximately 2.5 million rubles, and the funds were allocated to the Baikalovsky school this year.

As part of the region's systematic work to implement similar projects, cultural volunteer educational intensives will take place in the municipalities of the Sverdlovsk Region. These intensives are expected to further promote road safety education and ensure the safety of children in the region.

The opening of the driving town in Baikalovo marks a significant step forward in ensuring the safety of children in the region. With this innovative teaching facility, the Baikalovsky district continues to set an example in road safety education.
