Shift Timings

The RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 exam is conducted in three shifts daily from August 7 to September 9, 2025. The shift timings are as follows:

  • Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM (Reporting time: 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM; Gate closes at 8:30 AM)
  • Shift 2: 12:45 PM to 2:15 PM (Reporting time: 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM)
  • Shift 3: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM (Reporting time: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM)

Each shift duration is 90 minutes for 100 objective questions.

Required Documents

Candidates must carry the following documents to the exam center for identity and biometric verification:

  1. E-call letter (admit card) issued by the RRB for the exam
  2. A recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded during application)
  3. Original photo ID proof (e.g., Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter ID)
  4. Face mask (mandatory as per current health guidelines)

Prohibited Items

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the examination hall:

  • Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, smartwatches, calculators, bags, and other personal belongings
  • Any written or printed material, notes, or study/reference material
  • Metallic items or any other unauthorized items as specified in the official guidelines

Carrying banned items may lead to disqualification or cancellation of the candidature.

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Hall

  • Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, pagers, watches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, metallic items, belts, bangles, bracelets, books, notes, or papers, personal pens or pencils (except for those provided at the center), and Henna/Mehendi on hands are strictly prohibited inside the RRB NTPC UG exam hall.
