Three-day seminar focused on the management of educational systems, taking place in Jumla
In the heart of Jumla, a district renowned for its community-centric education initiatives, a significant three-day training on education administration and information systems is currently underway in Guru Chaur, Kanakasundari Rural Municipality-6.
Organised by the Social Development Office, Jumla, in collaboration with Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, the training is attended by participants from all eight local units, including teachers and school staff. The main objective of the training is to provide relevant knowledge on education administration and information systems to community school principals and administrative staff.
Chief of the Social Development Office, Top Bahadur Budha, has stated that such programs have been decentralized from district centers to local levels, following the principles of federalism. This decentralization aims to empower community-level decision-making and improve governance in schools.
The training also seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences related to model school activities and clarify technical components. Acting Chairperson of Kanakasundari Rural Municipality, Prem Bahadur Pachhai, has emphasized the need to improve the financial administration of community schools.
Budha believes that the training will help reduce existing uncertainties in the school sector and bring improvements in both educational and administrative areas. He also stated that local governments have not yet made the expected investments in the education sector.
Jivan Rokaya, a local resident, expressed gratitude for the change of venue. The training is being appreciated by local voices for being hosted in Kanakasundari, instead of the district headquarters.
The training will conclude on the 27th of Jestha. During the training, teachers and staff from model schools across all eight municipalities will participate. Another goal of the training is to address existing uncertainties and provide solutions.
Shivashankar Chaulagai, an employee at the Social Development Office, confirmed the training duration. The training will allow the sharing of experiences among teaching staff and serve as a milestone in ensuring financial governance in schools.
This training, with its focus on decentralization, capacity building, and financial administration, is a crucial step towards improving the education sector at the grassroots level in Jumla. For more detailed information about the specific training event, such as dates, agenda, organizers, or participant feedback, local NGO websites, district education office bulletins, or education-focused organizations operating in Jumla could provide relevant reports.
It is essential for community school principals and administrative staff to gain knowledge about education administration and information systems, as this training aims to provide relevant information to empower community-level decision-making and improve governance in schools. The training also seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences and address existing uncertainties in the school sector, leading to improvements in both educational and administrative areas.
