Television station Na Leo TV will conduct a Production Assistant Training Workshop
Prepare for entry-level PA roles in the production industry with Na Leo TV's Production Assistant Bootcamp, taking place on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at their Hilo Studio located at 91 Mohouli St.
This comprehensive bootcamp is designed to equip attendees with the essential skills needed to work on professional sets across various production environments. The day-long event will cover the fundamentals of working on a set, including crew roles, production flow, walkie talkie protocols, set etiquette, and essential paperwork.
Participants will also gain valuable insights into breaking into the industry, resume building, and learning how to join the union. The bootcamp aims to prepare aspiring media professionals for work on film, television, and digital production sets.
The day will feature a series of skills labs, such as safe gear handling, signage and on-set logistics, and a production simulation where attendees will rotate through various PA roles. This hands-on approach will provide participants with real-world insights, practical tools, and on-set experience.
Industry professionals Shawn Pila, Rob Khasen, Bruno Parnell, Sheldon Lehman, and Tui Scanlan (President of IATSE Local 665) will provide instruction and mentorship throughout the bootcamp.
