Task Force Initiates Initial Actions
In the wake of Klingel's dissolution, the impact on local businesses in Pforzheim, Germany, is becoming increasingly apparent. According to Oliver Reitz, Director of the WSP, the ripple effects are becoming more tangible.
To help those affected, the Job Agency has been proactive in providing support. Over 100 companies have expressed interest in employing Klingel employees, and a dedicated employer fair has been organized to facilitate this process. The fair will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, specifically targeting the employees of the Klingel Group, but also welcoming all job seekers.
The job offers for Klingel employees are available on the Job Agency's website and are being forwarded to the employer service of the agency. To accommodate the large number of Klingel employees, the Job Agency will operate a total of eight placement offices at the three Klingel locations, serving as satellite offices of the agency.
In addition to the employer fair, a vocational training fair Mühlacker-Enzkreis-Pforzheim is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023. This event aims to provide further opportunities for those seeking employment or vocational training.
The city of Pforzheim, in collaboration with the employment agency, has also set up a job market and a special email address on its website for employers seeking Klingel employees. The Mayor of Pforzheim, Peter Boch, has stated that there is great interest from regional companies in Klingel employees.
The Job Agency is committed to facilitating a smooth transition into new employment relationships for as many affected individuals as possible. The city's task force, established to address issues arising from the Klingel dissolution following insolvency, is coordinating efforts to support the affected employees.
Despite the challenges faced by the Klingel dissolution, Reitz emphasizes that the city of Pforzheim remains economically robust. In 2022, the city had around 59,000 socially insured employees. Tanja Traub, Business Manager at IHK, also notes that the consequences for companies in the wider area around Pforzheim have been limited, although some have been affected.
The employees of Galeria Karstadt-Kaufhof will also be informed about the job fair offer, indicating a broader effort to support those affected by the Klingel dissolution. The city and its partners are working diligently to ensure that those who have lost their jobs due to the dissolution are provided with the necessary resources and opportunities to find new employment.
Education and self-development are essential for those who have lost their jobs due to the dissolution of Klingel. Career development opportunities may be further explored at the vocational training fair Mühlacker-Enzkreis-Pforzheim scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023.
