Forney Independent School District (Forney ISD), one of the fastest-growing school districts in the nation, serving over 15,000 students across multiple cities and surrounding unincorporated areas, has transformed its classrooms with the AV solution, Vivi.
Vivi, designed specifically for education, offers wireless screen sharing, digital signage, emergency alerts, and text and video announcements. These capabilities enable easy content sharing from any device, promote interactive and collaborative learning, and improve overall communication and safety across the campus.

Consumer solutions like Google Chromecast and Apple TV do not meet district requirements for safety and security, reliability, or scalability. Vivi, on the other hand, is device-agnostic, allowing the district to open up to macOS and iOS devices. This commitment to being device-agnostic is a significant advantage for K-12 environments.
Vivi Central, the platform used to manage the Vivi deployment, is a favourite feature for IT teams due to its scalability and remote troubleshooting capabilities. This centralized management system ensures seamless deployment and updates across the district.
The desired solution should provide wireless screen sharing, be suitable for K-12 settings, support Windows and Chrome OS, offer room and display security, and have no dongles. Vivi meets all these requirements, making it the AV standard across the district.
The goal of freeing teachers from the front of the classroom and giving them more flexibility and mobility has been realized with the implementation of Vivi, resulting in greater engagement. Teachers can now be anywhere in the room and engage with students, sharing content on the projector, and transfer control to students for interactive learning.
Today, all new Forney ISD classrooms are equipped with a whiteboard, projector, Vivi, 27-inch classroom monitor, classroom phone, mouse, keyboard, and document cameras available upon request. Even teachers who were resistant to technology have embraced Vivi due to its ease of use and reliability.
