Sparkasse Donates €2,500 to 'From Apple to Juice' Education Project
The Sparkasse Freiburg-Northern Breisgau has generously contributed 2,500 euros to support the 'From Apple to Juice' educational project at the Schulfarm Hochburg. This initiative, in collaboration with the seed garden Eichstetten, aims to provide practical insights into biodiversity and economic connections to around 250 pupils from ten school classes.
The project, which ran successfully this year, focused on the apple harvest. Pupils got hands-on experience in processing the apples into juice. Beyond the practical aspects, the project also highlighted the orchard as a habitat, offering a unique perspective on biodiversity. Stefanie Waldmueller, a participant, shared her enthusiasm for the project, which she found both educational and enjoyable.
Thanks to the Sparkasse's donation, the 'From Apple to Juice' project has been a resounding success. It provided a valuable learning experience for the participating pupils, combining education with practical skills and an appreciation for nature.
