Shift in Leadership at the Social Hub Dermbach announced solemnly
In a solemn church service at the Evangelical Trinity Church in Dermbach, Sebastian Mötzung was officially introduced as the new Director of Nursing at the social station in Dermbach. The change of director was marked by a heartfelt ceremony, attended by around 120 guests.
Before his current role, Sebastian Mötzung had a distinguished career and studied nursing to become a health and nursing professional. Most recently, he was the head of the neurological early rehabilitation station at the M&i specialist clinic in Bad Liebenstein. Prior to that, he was the head of the station in the Evangelical Senior Care Ludwigshafen for many years.
Sebastian Mötzung, a Catholic and an active member of the parish council of the Catholic Church in Dermbach, expressed his gratitude and commitment in his first words as the new Director of Nursing. He looked forward to the task ahead and the team, especially in times of the nursing crisis. Administrative director Bettina Thuering warmly welcomed Sebastian Mötzung, expressing her joy at his former auxiliary becoming the Director of Nursing.
The ceremony was musically accompanied by Bettina Thuering on the harp, Margit Hugk on the guitar, and Youna Park on the piano and organ. Pastor Silke Glöckner, representing the institution, relieved Eveline Grob of her duties and thanked her for her years of service.
Eveline Grob, the previous Director of Nursing at the social station in Dermbach, retired on Sunday. In her farewell speech, she wished her successor all the best and said they would stay in touch. As a symbol of gratitude, Eveline Grob was presented with a bouquet of roses, and each employee gave her a rose personally. A humorous gift, a plate with a chicken motif, was also given to Eveline Grob, an inside joke referring to a quote from retired pastor Kotsch.
Pastor Glöckner used the image of "God's Garden" in her sermon, symbolizing the joint work in the community. She stated, "We are all employees in God's garden. Everyone can help it to bloom - with their hands, their voice, their patience." The cooperation of different confessions, she added, makes the garden particularly colorful. Bettina Thuering added that ecumenism has been lived at the social station for a long time, and neighborly love is not dependent on denomination.
The service concluded with a warm farewell, welcome, and toast - all in the spirit of lived community and lived ecumenism. It was a day of new beginnings and fond farewells at the social station in Dermbach.
On a related note, it was also announced that Sebastian Mötzung has been appointed as the new pastor at the Evangelical Trinity Church in Dermbach. His dual role as Director of Nursing and Pastor will undoubtedly bring a unique perspective and dedication to both roles.
