Senior Art Students at Park University Set to Display Two Exhibitions
Park University is set to host two art exhibits at its Campanella Gallery, located within the Norrington Center on the flagship Parkville Campus, from May 5 to June 6, 2025. The exhibits will showcase the works of a diverse group of talented artists, all of whom are senior fine art majors hailing from Missouri.
The first exhibit, opening on May 5, will feature the works of Lucie Garrett, Rhiannon Lewis, and Danielle Smith. Lucie Garrett, a mixed media artist, combines ceramics, sculpture, and fiber to explore maximalism. Rhiannon Lewis creates colorful, bright works inspired by coy fish using fiber, ceramics, and other mediums. Danielle Smith's art explores fashion and textiles.
The second exhibit, starting on Monday, June 16, will feature the works of Sofia McCroskie, Cameron McMeekin, and Cheri Regis. Sofia McCroskie, a multimedia artist, attended Liberty North High School in Missouri. Cameron McMeekin, a senior fine art major from Springfield, Missouri, examines themes of nature through photography. Cheri Regis, a painter, doll-maker, and multidisciplinary artist, is a senior digital marketing and fine art major from Parkville, Missouri (attended New Hartford High School in New York).
Both exhibits are open to the public and will take place during the following hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, closed. However, the building will be closed on May 26 for the Memorial Day holiday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday, and July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.
Receptions for both exhibits will be held. The reception for the first exhibit will take place on May 9, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery. The reception for the second exhibit will be held on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Gallery.
