In an effort to address the shortage of master weavers, Microsoft has developed an AI bot named "Ruuh" in India. This bot generates designs for handloom weavers to create new patterns, thereby filling the gap left by the scarcity of master weavers and helping to raise productivity in the handloom industry.
Microsoft is also committed to preparing India's workforce for the jobs the economy needs. Through various programs like Sangam, they are working on creating learning and skilling solutions to equip individuals with the necessary skills for the future.
Nadella emphasized the importance of creating a surplus for society, stating that increasing allocative efficiency is at the heart of capitalism. He argued that AI can enhance capabilities and create new jobs, rather than just replacing them, as asserted by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
