PM Modi Launches Rs 60,000 Crore Youth Empowerment Initiatives in Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bihar, launching several initiatives aimed at empowering the state's youth and enhancing skill development. Key among these were the revamped 'Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana', PM-SETU, and the inauguration of the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University.

The revamped 'Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana' will provide monthly allowance and skill training to nearly five lakh graduates in Bihar. PM Modi also launched PM-SETU, a centrally sponsored scheme with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore for ITI upgradation. This scheme will upgrade 1,000 government ITIs in a hub-and-spoke model, with the first phase focusing on ITIs in Patna and Darbhanga.

The Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University was inaugurated to provide industry-oriented courses and vocational education. Additionally, the redesigned Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme was launched, offering interest-free personal loans of up to Rs 4 lakh. More than 3.92 lakh students have already availed student loans worth more than Rs 7,880 crore under this scheme.

Bihar Yuva Ayog, a statutory commission for people aged 18-45, was also inaugurated to empower the state's youth.

These initiatives, totalling Rs 60,000 crore in investment, aim to provide skill development, personal loans, and youth empowerment in Bihar. They are expected to significantly impact the state's youth and economy.
