Jack MacLennan, a native of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, has been appointed as the senior director for strategic initiatives and communications, special assistant to the president for governance at Park University, effective August 1, 2024.

MacLennan, who currently holds the title of associate professor of political science at Park University, has a rich history with the institution. He previously served as the graduate program director for the national security studies program for the past five years, joining Park University in 2017. During the 2022-23 academic year, he also served as the special assistant to the provost for academic programs.
