Over 2,500 Kids Win Prizes at Bayreuth's Children's University

Over 2,500 children took part in the University of Bayreuth's Children's University this summer, with 64 being awarded at a special ceremony in the New Town Hall on October 1st. Mayor Thomas Ebersberger praised the high participation rate and thanked organisers and sponsors for their support.

The Children's University, held annually, offers children from grades 2 to 6 the chance to learn in a fun and interactive way. To win a prize, participants had to attend at least three out of the four events and enter a prize draw. Dr. Carsten Miller from the University and Mayor Thomas Ebersberger presented the winners with small gifts at the reception.

In addition to the prize winners, five child reporters received special presents, although details about this are not available.

The Children's University in Bayreuth continues to grow in popularity, with over 2,500 children participating this year. The high number of awards given out reflects the programme's success in engaging young minds and encouraging learning through fun activities.
