Over 1700 New Recruits Join Customs Administration, Boosting Digital Transformation
Over 1700 young individuals embarked on their careers at the Customs on September 1, 2025, including 34 at the Main Customs Office Oldenburg. They began dual studies or training programmes that combine theory and practice. The Federal Immigration Service hired these higher service students, who will eventually qualify for professional titles.
The recruits started their journey in administrative informatics, a three-year dual study programme. Upon completion, they will be assigned to various areas of the customs, with a preference for digital forensics and digitization. Meanwhile, those in the middle service training will qualify as tax administrators after two years.
The immigration service takes on all suitable newcomers. Interested parties can apply for an appointment starting September 1, 2026, until October 15, 2025. Detailed information about application, appointment, training, and studies can be found at www.zoll-karriere.de or www.zoll.de.
The immigration service welcomes over 1700 new recruits, with 34 joining the Main Customs Office Oldenburg. These young individuals will contribute to the digital transformation of the immigration service, with the support of the Federal Immigration Service.
