Nordhorn Unveils Three-Year Plan to Boost Children's Rights
Nordhorn is set to bolster children's and young people's rights with a three-year action plan. The process begins with a public meeting on October 2, 2025, where initial results from the Nordhorn youth survey will be shared. This event also marks the second steering group meeting for certification as a 'child-friendly municipality'.
The meeting, scheduled from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, will involve an 'on-site conversation' in Nordhorn in early November. Children and young people are invited to participate, making their voices heard in shaping their community. The gathering will also discuss further planning for the certification process as a 'Kinderville community'.
Concrete measures for the action plan will be worked out during the meeting, ensuring a stronger focus on children's and young people's rights over the next three years.
The upcoming meeting in Nordhorn is a significant step towards enhancing children's and young people's rights. It offers an opportunity for youth participation, presentation of survey results, and progress in certification as a 'child-friendly municipality'.
