NKU & Duke Energy Launch Green Energy Innovation Lab
Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and Labcorp have joined forces to launch a state-of-the-art innovation lab on NKU's campus. The Labcorp Innovation Lab, set to open on April 3, 2023, is equipped with the latest Internet of Things (IoT) technology, focusing on green energy. Both NKU President Dr. Cady Short-Thompson and Labcorp's Ohio/Kentucky President Amy Spiller expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and the lab's potential.
The lab, located in NKU's Griffin Hall, will serve multiple purposes. It will function as a workshop for students to develop and test their projects, a teaching space for interactive learning, and a destination for K-12 students to explore tech challenges. Labcorp's President for Ohio/Kentucky, Amy Spiller, praised the partnership, highlighting the lab's role in cultivating new ideas and providing valuable experiences for students. NKU President Dr. Cady Short-Thompson echoed these sentiments, expressing pride in the collaboration and the lab's potential for fostering innovation and problem-solving.
