Schoolkids in Novosibirsk, Russia, are leaning into science subjects for their EGE exams. This news was shared by Vladimir Shchukin, deputy minister of education for the region, during a TASS press conference.
"When it comes to subject choice, we're seeing a considerably noticeable shift compared to past trends this year," he revealed. "The jump in students choosing the profile math exam is more than 45%."
With biology, physics, and chemistry also on the rise among this year's graduates, the interest in foreign languages is dwindling.
