In a thrilling morning ceremony, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) shined the spotlight on some of its top graduates from the 2023-2024 academic year.

The event, held at the swanky new headquarters in Shuwaikh, was graced by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with the auspicious occasion being reported by the Kuwait News Agency.

Upon arrival, His Highness was greeted warmly by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, the Director General of PAAET, Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, and a crew of deputy directors-general. The ceremony was also attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation, Dr. Adel Bouresli, as well as other distinguished government officials, students, and their families.

In his address, Minister Dr. Nader Al-Jalal showed his gratitude towards His Highness the Amir for his patronage, stating it as a testament to the leadership's unwavering dedication to education and youth empowerment. "Your Highness's attendance today is proof that education, training, and the advancement of human capital remain top priorities for our country's leadership," stated Al-Jalal.

He lavished praise on the Amir for his unwavering support for higher education and his tireless efforts to arm Kuwaiti youth with the wisdom and skills needed to construct a prosperous future. Dr. Al-Jalal emphasized PAAET's role as a crucial player in national development, offering programs that cater to labor market requirements while furthering the path of sustainable development. He also outlined the Authority's endeavors to modernize curricula, foster innovation, and create an engaging academic environment.

Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, Director General of PAAET, thanked His Highness the Amir for gracing the ceremony with his presence, referring to it as an honor and a cherished memory for the graduates and all members of the Authority. Al-Fajjam then highlighted the Authority's strategic direction, which centers around a five-year plan based on four core objectives: preparing skilled national talent, enhancing institutional performance, fostering research and innovation, and promoting sustainable development.

He also stated that the Authority provides the labor market with around 10,000 qualified graduates annually. Moreover, the Authority currently caters to approximately 59,000 students while striving to find the perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical training through updated workshops and labs. Advancements in digital governance, institutional excellence, and environmental sustainability were singled out as key areas of progress.

Addressing the graduates, Al-Fajjam said, "We are incredibly proud of you. Kuwait is counting on you to lead the way. Be the shining example in perseverance, ethics, and national unity."

Stepping up to speak on behalf of the graduates, Sara Ali Ramadan expressed deep gratitude towards His Highness the Amir for his constant support. "We feel incredibly honored by your paternal care, which drives us to continue pushing forward and giving back to our beloved Kuwait," she commented.

She expressed that Kuwait represents a nurturing environment and a source of pride, highlighting its rich legacy of struggle and resilience. "We love Kuwait because it is not just a country, but a legacy of sacrifice and determination, built on the sweat of our ancestors and the loyalty of its people," she concluded.

The ceremony concluded with a strong sense of national pride and determination, reflecting the aspirations of a new generation eager to contribute to Kuwait's continued growth and success. The event highlighted the remarkable achievements of students like Sarah Ramadan (English Language major), Fatima Al-Ouda (Mathematics graduate), and Muhanna Al-Gharba (Law graduate), who were singled out for their academic prowess and unyielding determination. Their stories serve as testaments to the lasting impact of the leadership's dedication to education and youth development.
