Media Summit Kicks Off in Vladivostok: Top Officials Discuss Education's Role in Media

The Media Summit of the System of Professional Education (12+) kicked off on October 1, with notable figures such as Minister Sergei Dubovitsky, Irina Namtaeva, Viktor Sukhanov, and Sergei Kozhevnikov addressing participants at the Vladivostok State University (VSUES) platform. The summit aimed to pinpoint key issues, share experiences, and foster unity within the media community of the system of professional education.

Over two days, the intensive training covered a strategic session, master classes on creating engaging videos and building personal brands on social media, and a session on maintaining team resources. Notably, Nikolai Krupatin led a master class titled 'Work as a Brand: Why a Welder Needs Social Media'. Participants actively engaged in the event, preparing reports, participating in interactive sessions, and even trying their hand at being telejournalists.

The Media Summit was part of the second Far Eastern Youth MediaSummit (FEYMS) held from October 1-3, 2025. This event focused on staffing the media industry in the Far East and empowering local youth. It was the third such event in the Far Eastern Federal District in 2025, following previous gatherings in April in Birobidzhan and July in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The Media Summit concluded successfully, leaving participants with new insights and skills. The 'Literature of the Pacific Russia' festival is set to begin in Vladivostok in just a week, promising further cultural enrichment for the region.
