Lonsdale Institute Closes, Leaving 3588 Students in Limbo
Lonsdale Institute, a renowned educational institution, has ceased operations. Established in 2007, it previously operated from four locations in Melbourne and Sydney.
The Institute, which had a total CRICOS capacity of 3588 and offered 27 CRICOS registered courses, has shut down, as announced by the Tuition Protection Service (TPS). The TPS is currently working with the Institute to support students and determine their obligations.
Ian Aird, CEO of English Australia, expressed sadness over the closure, stating: 'We regret the impact this will have on students and the sector.' The Institute's website is now inaccessible.
Lonsdale Institute's closure leaves students and the educational sector with challenges to navigate. The TPS and English Australia are working together to provide support and resolve any issues arising from the Institute's cessation of operations.
