IHK Praises Solingen Apprentices' Success Amidst Demographic Shifts
IHK Vice President Dr. Roman Diederichs has praised the latest batch of apprentices from Solingen, highlighting their success in the face of Germany's demographic changes. A total of 117 graduates achieved the top grade 'very good' in their final exams, with many honorees hailing from the city.
Among the successful graduates were Lukas Bock, Ahmet Car, Alessia de Luca, Ouissam El Yaghmouri, Celine Gatawetzki-Köppchen, Celine Gieler, Julian Graef, Christian Günther, Katharina Krause, Grzegorz Kunicki, and Jonas Samuel Zestnik. These individuals completed their apprenticeships in 67 companies and 18 vocational schools, including retrainees and those who passed due to professional experience.
Diederichs thanked various stakeholders for their commitment to dual education, including training companies like Spar und Bauverein Solingen eG, PaintX GmbH, and Malermeister Kai Wiegand e.K. He also emphasized the need to prepare apprentices for future competencies in data analysis and AI-supported processes.
