German Studies Conference 2025 to Explore 'Dialogue'

The 28th German Studies Conference, scheduled for Braunschweig from September 14 to 17, 2025, anticipates around 600 attendees. The theme, 'Dialogue', will be explored from various angles. Professor Sybille Kraemer will commence the event with a lecture titled 'Do we have a dialogue with chatbots?'. The conference offers a comprehensive program, including five keynotes and over 100 lectures and workshops. Among the featured speakers is Professor Nine Miedema, a Germanist specializing in Historical Linguistics and Medieval German language and literature, who will present on Sunday, September 17, 2025. Apart from academic sessions, the conference will host a publisher's exhibition and a political talk discussing the future of German studies.
