Every Sunday, from June 15th to July 20th, the city gallery in the park showcases the exhibition titled 'I see RED'. This exhibition features artwork created by kids and youngsters from the kindergartens and schools in Viersen.

Red-Hot Art Extravaganza Takes Over Viersen

Get ready for a dazzling spectacle of creativity as the Municipal Gallery in the Park unfurls its phenomenal exhibition dedicated to the color red. Following a splendid renovation, towering sculpture "New Star" once again gleams in Diergardtplatz. This festive occasion calls for an eclectic showcase that celebrates the fiery hue with a medley of artistic mediums.

The color palette for this vibrant exhibition is astounding. Artistic endeavors take on diverse forms, ranging from painting and sculpture, to film and craft, not to mention the eye-catching Red Krampus masks that literally make one "see red." Sports cars flaunt their flashy red exteriors, while traffic signs flash their signal red. The Swiss artist M. Vänci Stirnemann adds his playful twist with a collection of Artist Trading Cards in shades of crimson. A memory game declares its love for red, while abstract red forms engage in a thrilling competition. One even gets a chance to peer at the world through symbolic rose-tinted spectacles. In a breathtaking giant sculpture, the Earth is transformed into the red planet, and a heartfelt embrace symbolizes love and warmth.

The lineup of participants for this artistic adventure includes an impressive list of schools: Arche Noah, Heesstraße, Himmelszelt, St. Peter and Röhlenend, Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium, Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule, Clara-Schumann-Gymnasium and Erasmus-von-Rotterdam-Gymnasium, Franziskusschule, community primary schools Dülken Dammstraße and Rahser, Hanns-Dieter-Hüsch-Schule, Johannes-Kepler-Realschule Süchteln, and Catholic primary schools Zweitorstraße, Martinschule, and Paul-Weyers-Schule.

The celebration kicks off on Sunday, June 15, with a grand opening ceremony headed by Mayor Sabine Anemüller at 11 am. A special guided tour of the exhibition afterward, led by Jutta Pitzen, director of the Gallery in the Park, promises an unforgettable experience. The children of the Kita Röhlenend and a talented children's dance group from the Fauth dance school will delight visitors with additional performance elements.
