Kickstarting Astana's Future Social Spaces

Get ready for a transformation in Astana's social landscape! In a recent update, the Akim of Astana addressed the ongoing efforts to construct social facilities in the heart of the capital. Our website reports that Jenis Kasymbek, the man behind the movements, has been keeping a close eye on the progress.

"Social facilities are our top priority," Kasymbek expressed via social media. This thrilling shift encompasses an array of facilities, including schools, kindergartens, the Palace of Schoolchildren, and medical centers.

Remember those state kindergartens that halted construction back in 2017? Well, they're back on track, and the progress is impressive. Kasymbek and his team have diligently identified prime land plots, readied engineering networks, and improved necessary infrastructure to jump-start the revitalization of these vital institutions.

Come this year, they've got some big plans—11 dazzling new kindergartens to be exact! Here's the lowdown: five kindergartens for a whopping 1,500 spots, supported by the local budget; four more for 1,094 places, thanks to private investments; and a spectacular kindergarten for 185 places right in residential buildings. What's more, a modernized building for a kindergarten with 120 spots is in the works. Together, these kindergartens will offer a staggering 2,899 spots for tots to thrive!

But that's not all. Get ready to welcome 15 additional schools during the upcoming academic year. Last academic year alone boasted the construction and opening of a superb 24 educational institutions, with 16 of them part of the 'Comfortable School' national project. Talk about ambition! Kasymbek also revealed efforts to garner private funds for the construction of social facilities, ensuring Astana's growth isn't limited to social infrastructure alone.

Several key projects are underway, such as the construction of gas boiler stations, a drinking water station (NWS 3), and the 'Arai' electrical substation, to mention a few. These ventures aim to provide the city with the vital necessities of heat, water, and electricity.

By the way, it's important to mention that Astana is implementing a polycentric urban development model. This means weaving together housing, workspaces, services, and recreational areas within convenient distances. This approach intentionally unites social facilities with residential areas, making them a cherished part of the neighborhoods.

The future of Astana's social infrastructure remains bright, with major streets and avenues (like Baitursynov, Nurmagambetov, Nazhimedenov Streets, and Tauelsizdik Avenue) undergoing enhancements that will create a more child-friendly environment for schools and kindergartens. Projects like the GreenLine Boulevard initiative are set to include cycling paths, playgrounds, and sports grounds, fostering a fantastic urban setting for children.

All in all, Astana is on the fast track to developing a well-rounded, sustainable urban model that will nurture social growth while providing an outstanding educational atmosphere for the city's young minds. Hip-hip-hooray for Astana's bright future!

In light of the ongoing development, Jenis Kasymbek, the city's Akim, is emphasizing not only the construction of physical facilities but also the importance of education and self-development in Astana's future. Through this transformation, learning opportunities will expand with the construction of new schools and kindergartens, ultimately fostering an environment for the city's young minds to thrive.
