Eurofest 2025: A Cultural Bridge Between EU and Central Asia
Eurofest 2025, a vibrant celebration of European culture and cooperation, recently took place in the capital park 'Lover' (kaz. 'Gaschyktar') on the first day of summer. The event, dedicated to Europe Day and Children's Day, showcased opportunities for education and joint projects between the EU and Central Asia.
Eurofest was compared to a 'mini-tour through Europe', offering a diverse range of music, performances, and cultural experiences. Representatives from numerous European countries, international organizations, cultural centers, and embassies attended the event, including the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kazakhstan, Monika Iwersen, who expressed her enthusiasm about the event and Germany-Kazakhstan cooperation.
The event featured an art exhibition, a European drinks bar, a children's play area, and informational stands about European universities. Funds collected at Eurofest were used to support local charitable organizations, although the managing organization remains unidentified.
Eurofest 2025 served as a platform for discussing crucial topics such as media development, disinformation, gender equality, and environmental protection. By introducing residents to European culture and interregional cooperation, the event fostered a sense of unity and understanding between the EU and Central Asia.
