Dubai PodFest 2025 Attracts 1,200+ Podcasters, Empowering Creators
Dubai hosted the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest on Wednesday, attracting over 1,200 podcasters, media professionals, and digital creators. The event was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. It reflected Dubai's commitment to empowering creators and supporting innovation in new media.
The Dubai Press Club organised the event, which featured panel discussions and workshops on podcasting's role in social awareness, monetisation, and digital growth. Bryan Barletta, President of Podcast Movement, shared insights on monetisation, localisation, and video strategies for podcasting in the Middle East. The event was held at the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre.
The Arab Podcast Program saw Amani Abdullah Al Teneiji win first place for her podcast Mareekh. Raghad Al Arishi and Tahani Mohammed Zuhayman secured second and third places respectively. Sheikh Ahmed praised Dubai PodFest for reflecting the city's leadership in the media landscape and commitment to empowering creators. Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, noted the growing importance of podcasting in new media and Dubai's support for innovation and talent.
The fifth edition of the Dubai PodFest, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attracted a significant number of attendees and showcased the city's commitment to supporting and empowering creators in the podcasting industry.
