Jeanette Hernandez Prenger to Deliver Keynote Address at Park University Commencement

Jeanette Hernandez Prenger, the CEO of ECCO Select, a leading data center management company, will be honoured with an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters degree during Park University's Kansas City Area Commencement on May 10, 2025. Prenger will also deliver the keynote address at the ceremony.

The ceremony, which will take place at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Mo., starting at 10 a.m., will celebrate the achievements of 372 students who are scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree, associate degree, and/or undergraduate certificate, as well as 203 students who are set to receive a master's degree and/or graduate certificate.

Prenger's recognition from Park University is in acknowledgement of her outstanding service to humans and society. Her lifelong contributions to her profession, community, and alma mater make her a truly exceptional candidate for this prestigious recognition.

ECCO Select, founded by Prenger, specializes in people, process, and technology solutions for data center projects. The company, which has offices in Kansas City, Dallas, and Washington, D.C., serves clients across North America, including Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.

She has served on numerous national and regional boards, including The Latino Coalition, Junior Achievement USA, Boy Scouts of America (now known as Scouting America), the Harvard Kennedy School's Taubman Institute, Eisenhower Foundation, and the Missouri Tourism Commission.

In her local community, Prenger has held leadership roles with Visit KC, Junior Achievement of Kansas City, the Systems of Care Initiative, and the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Among her notable contributions, Prenger served on Park University's Board of Trustees from 2011-23, including two years as chair and two years as immediate past chair.

A nomination letter submitted to Park's Faculty Senate stated that Prenger "exemplifies the qualities of leadership, integrity, and service that align with Park University's core values." Prenger is a passionate advocate for economic growth and community development.
