Let's Roll Out the School Bags Again! 🎒

Hey there! Guess what's back in action? You got it—the backpackSwap! Here's where you can drop off your gently-used backpacks and help out the kiddos in Dinslaken, Voerde, Hünxe, and beyond.

The ball's rolling starting from June 27! So, whether you've got a colorful, sturdy, or funky backpack lying around, this is your chance to give it a new life for a kid who needs one.

"Of course, we're open to any early donations," says Daniela Rohde, clearing the way to the foyer of the Düppelpunkt, where five backpacks are already waiting. Last year, a whopping 362 backpacks were collected during the campaign, setting a new record after the pandemic.

💰💰Where Can I Drop Off My Backpack?💰💰

The Vogel bicycle shop at Krengelstraße 131 in Dinslaken is one of the collection points for your backpack donations. Open from 10 am to 7 pm every day, it's an easy drop-off spot. You'll find our website at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 40, accepting backpacks from 9 am to 5 pm, and the schools participating in the action from 8 am to 1 pm.

🤔But which schools, exactly?🤔

  • Bruchschule, Hedwigstraße 122, Dinslaken
  • Am Weyer, Hügelstraße 19, Dinslaken
  • Averbruchschule, Rosenstraße 47, Dinslaken
  • Gartenschule, Gartenstraße 17, Dinslaken
  • Hagenschule, Hagenstraße 139, Dinslaken
  • Hühnerheide, Hühnerheide 102, Dinslaken
  • Moltkeschule, Tackenstraße 53, Dinslaken

  • Otto-Willmann-Schule, Sternbuschweg 36, Voerde

For the first time ever, the Theißelmannschule at Theißelmannstraße 33 in Duisburg-Walsum has joined the fun! Plus, schools in Dinslaken like the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium, Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium, and the Gustav-Heinemann-Schulzentrum are also collected backpacks for the campaign.

лет's Make it Fun! 🎨️️

Remember, the backpacks and rucksacks should be intact and not have any tears or broken straps. You can find a few brand-new ones for the action if you want to support the cause!

If you feel extra generous and want to up the excitement for the kids, bring along colored pencils, crayons, or stickers!

TIP: Sports clothes, bags, or shoes will also be welcomed by the Düppelpunkt team during the backpack collection. Just ask Deniz Ost, head of the Caritas-Düppelpunkt!

🎉When Can I Help Out?🎉

You've still got until July 11th to drop off your backpacks and sports gear at the Düppelpunkt. Afterwards, parents can select a backpack with their kids during the Düppelpunkt's opening hours to start their new school year in style! By the way, the Düppelpunkt team will assist families in finding the perfect backpack for every child.
