BRAWO Foundation Day Kicks Off, Plans for Annual Event Unveiled
The inaugural BRAWO Foundation Day, held on October 1st in Braunschweig, has sparked plans for a recurring event. Nearly a hundred participants gathered to discuss and develop the region's foundation landscape.
The first BRAWO Foundation Day, organised by the BRAWO-Stiftung, brought together foundations and experts for lively discussions and networking opportunities. Topics ranged from founding and fundraising to investment models, legal design, and succession planning. Monika Schmidt, CEO of the Engagement Center, emphasised the importance of direct exchange among participants.
Thomas Fast, CEO of the Volksbank BRAWO Foundation, praised the event's intensity and quality. It led to initial ideas for follow-up projects, network meetings, and sustainability initiatives. The event was a collaboration between the Engagement Center, Volksbank BRAWO Foundation, BRAWO Stiftergemeinschaft, the Braunschweig Private Bank, and Volksbank BRAWO.
The success of the first BRAWO Foundation Day has led to plans for a continuation of the event, aiming to establish it as a fixed platform for the region. The event served as a catalyst for further development and strengthening of the foundation landscape in the Braunschweig, Gifhorn, Peine, Salzgitter, and Wolfsburg region.
