Bochum Students Experience Police Work Firsthand in 'Team 110 in Action!' Event
Students from Bochum's Erich-Kästner Comprehensive School recently participated in an immersive police role-playing event, 'Team 110 in Action!', at the local Police Headquarters. The event, held during the Talent Days Ruhr on October 1st, was organized by PHKin Nicole Schüttauf from PP Bochum, with support from PHKin Wenke Lohmann of the LAFP (State Office for Training, Further Education and Personnel Affairs of the Police NRW).
The students took on various police roles, such as patrol duty and criminal police, to manage a fictional threat scenario. The event aimed to give them a realistic taste of police work, emphasizing teamwork, clear communication, and quick decision-making. After the role-play, students tried on uniform parts and shared their experiences in a feedback round. The accompanying teacher, Heike Müller-Schaefer, commended the event for providing valuable and enriching experiences for the students.
The 'Team 110 in Action!' event at the Bochum Police Headquarters offered students a unique opportunity to explore police work firsthand. With the support of local police personnel, the students gained insights into the importance of teamwork and effective communication in crisis situations.
