Axis Max Life Introduces a Career-Oriented Youth Development Initiative, Emphasizing Career Counseling and Vocational Training
The Axis Max Life Udaan Youth Empowerment Program, a multi-year initiative aimed at enhancing the employability of young individuals, has been launched in Mumbai. The program, a joint venture between Axis Max Life Insurance Limited and the Learning Space Foundation, seeks to empower youth by providing them with necessary skills and knowledge to improve their prospects in the job market.
The program will deliver structured career counselling, aptitude assessments, and vocational information to over 200 young individuals across 25 schools and colleges in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar districts. Axis Max Life employees will contribute as mentors and facilitators, volunteering their time and expertise through skill-sharing sessions, career fairs, and community engagement events.
Anurag Chauhan, Director, General Counsel & Head - Sustainability at Axis Max Life, expressed that the Axis Max Life Udaan program is a commitment to building a more inclusive future for India's youth. He further stated that career counselling plays a pivotal role in helping youth discover their interests, align aspirations with real-world possibilities, and take confident steps toward economic independence.
Nitin Orayan, Founder of Learning Space Foundation, stated that the Axis Max Life Udaan program brings timely and tangible support to youth who often fall through the cracks of access and opportunity. He also mentioned that the program is a step towards building a more equitable and empowered society, where semi-urban and rural talent is recognized, nurtured, and given a real chance to thrive.
The official launch of Axis Max Life Udaan took place at the Patuck Polytechnic Institute Auditorium in Mumbai, with Neeta Bhatt, Executive Vice President & Head - Fees from Axis Bank, Anurag Chauhan from Axis Max Life, Nitin Orayan from Learning Space Foundation, and leaders from the Patuck Institute, LSF Trustees, and selected student representatives in attendance.
The Axis Max Life Udaan program is part of Axis Max Life's ongoing commitment to social impact and community upliftment, a shared commitment with Axis Bank. In the financial year 2024-25, Axis Max Life achieved a gross written premium of INR 33,223 Cr., as per the annual audited financials. By equipping at least 100 youth with critical employability skills such as English communication, computer literacy, and soft skills, the Axis Max Life Udaan program aims to improve job prospects, contribute to economic growth, and have a positive social impact in the Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar districts. While the precise impact of the program in these regions is not yet known, its objectives suggest it could have a significant positive effect on the youth in these areas by preparing them for the workforce and contributing to their overall development.
